Who thinks Lou Pinella is doing a bad job here?
This guy might not be considered a major aquistion, but I'm going to say Gil Meche. Everybody, including myself, thought that he was way overpaid and wouldn't pitch any better than he did in Seattle. Well, so far he's been great. 3-1 record (the team is 6-3 when he starts),1.91 ERA, 47 Ks and possibly most important of all - he's gone 7 innings in all but one game. He's saving pitches for a bullpen that needs all the help it can get.Is it true Craig Biggio of the Houston Astros CAN'T grow facial hair?
Ted Lilly or Carlos Lee.eh got to give it to Lee but Lilly been doing A LOT better than expected as well. How fast should my change up be?
i think carlos lee,he was leading the league in rbi's and his offense continues to better each week.the astros record is .500 but imagine what it would be if they didnt have him."Oki" or Okijima for the Red Sox! Everyone thought he'd be the so-called 2nd player to go with Dice K. O contre mon a mei..His ERA is below .090 and he hasnt given up a hit in some 20 innings.....
I know he's hurt right now and I'm not sure he was a "major" acquisition, but Moises Alou has been lights out for the Mets so far. I know he is very brittle but when healthy, even at age 39, he is still one of the best hitters in the game.
What is a sandwich pick in baseball?
1. Alfonso Soriano- He hasn't preformed in the category that everyone expected but he has gotten on base in every game he has played in.2. Jason Marquis- Has no one noticed this guy. 5-1 2.22 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP come on.
3. Gil Meche- the rest of you made this point.
