How many MLB baseball players hit 2 or more homeruns in a single game in 1917 ?

It is "platooning". This term is used to describe that two or more players will split time at the same position throughout the year. Like if one player hits left handers really well and the other player doesnt then the one player who hits lefty's well would start against left handers. The other player would start against righties only.

What is the highest year-end winning percentage for a MLB team?

The word is "platooning". It is the use of right-handed batters against left-handed pitching; and left-handed batters against right-handed pitchers.

The purpose is the way curve balls break. When batting against the opposite handed pitcher, the curve ball normally breaks toward the batter rather than away from the batter. Those are easier to hit when the pitch comes toward the batter.

This practice has been around for a century, but it really gained acceptance back in the 1950's when Casey Stengel used this with his NY Yankees lineups. It was very successful for him. Probably the most this practice was used was by Gene Mauch of the Phillies, Expos, Twins, and Angels. He often changed almost his entire lineup if the opponent changed pitchers to one throwing with the other hand. It was not as successful for him as he never won a pennant.

Which team can beat the mets in the end of the year when the mets get Pedro back ,?

its when two players split time at one position... say you have two adequate right fielders... one is great vs lefties and the other is great vs. righties... you play one player against RHP and one against LHP... thats platooning

Which sports logo is more gangsta? White Sox, NY Yankees or LA Dodgers?

Platooning would be either multiple players or just one.

The best example of a platoon player would be Mark DeRosa in 2006 for the Texas Rangers. He played LF, RF, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and SS.

Platoon players do not start everyday, and are used for various sustitutions. (double switch in NL)
