Can parents file a petition to change a local Little League bylaw?
Question:I need to know if parents and/or coaches can file a petition to have a local Little League Board of Directors change or amend a bylaw? If so, how can I begin this process? If not, is there any other recourse to change local rules?

Every local Little League should have a constitution that states how the board of directors is selected and how rules are made or changed. Local League rules are usually determined by the league board of directors, so to change them you would need their support. If the BOD are not in favor of your changes then you most likely of luck for the current year. Your next alternative is get a spot on the board and try to make the change that way. Unless there is an especially egregious error or emission in the rules most BODs won't change rules mid-season.Out of curiosity what rule are you trying to change?

I'm sure they could. The process should start the same way any such process would start - by reading the local by-laws.Should the red sox have a permanent 3rd basemen and who should it be?
