The math certainly doesn't look too good right now but until the magic number of Boston is zero, anything can happen. I'm not even sure that Roger Clemens can make that much of a difference but we've seen Boston blow bigger leads to the Yankees with a bigger lead. (August 1978, Yankees 14 1/2 games out and ended up winning the world series). Never count them out. Right now their problem is not just their pitching. They are not hitting either. The Yankees are still a great team and I'm guessing that they will still end up winning more games than they lose. That's what makes baseball so great.
