MILWAUKEE Brewers real deal?
Question:I smell the playoffs

Does anyone know where I can get Mike Schmidt's "crying" retirement speech audio clip?
As long as we don't suffer a second half meltdown like the last few years, we can go a long way. The team has more depth and talent than before. Even with a few injuries it would not hurt them as their are guys in Nashville who could easily be playing in the majors right now. The pitching staff is much improved over last year, and they have shown repeatedly this year that they can pull through even when most players wouldn't. (Vargas throwing three straight strikeouts with bases loaded, villanueva throwing four scoreless relief innings last night, Turnbow/Cordero 8 for 8 on saves, etc) they have some rough spots to smooth out but I think they have a good shot. Why wont people cut Bonds some slack?
it could happen ,but thye are too self destructive down the stretch! look for an 81-81 season again, finishing behind houston!! forget st. louis! they had their day!!Milwaukee is off to a great start, but this is only April and they have to play 162 games total. If they are on top in September then you can smell the playoffs possibly. Also they are not walking away with that division yet. Anything could happen.
Do you think Bonds wilol break Hank Aaron's HR record?
its too early to tell if they will last. but they r looking really good now and i'd pick them to make the playoffs assuming they stay healthy.Who is your favorite yankee this year?
YES. The Brewers are a the real deal. Why, because they finally signed some veteran pitching to help the young staff along. This helps in terms of improving knowledge of the game and preparation going into big games, but also, the veterans (like Sup) have proven that they can go an entire season in the rotation. Not only that, he pitched lights out in the playoffs last year (big game pitcher, yes!). Also, the fans in Jenkins' Jungle better look out this year. He was insulted in the spring and he's been tearing the cover off the ball ever since. Also, they have one of the best 8-9 inning combos from Turnbow to Cordero. Both pound the strike zone with hard stuff and baffle hitters, leaving the ball far behind them when their swings start. The BrewCrew are the most complete team in the NL Central from hitting to bullpen to starting pitching (maybe their defense is a a little "suspect," but I don't see that getting in their way). Miller Park will be a fun place to see a game this year, because the Brewers won't lose many there. Finally, the 2007 Brewers embody the new National League. They are young, they are talented, have a sprinkling of good veteran presence, and they don't know they are supposed to lose. All they do is go out, have fun, and play the game the right way. My favorite part about this Brewers team is that we can EXPECT greatness from them for a long time. The hoping part is over. The Crew is back.
Which game developed from basket ball,is played by two teams of seven players?
No, they kinda good right now, and remember its just April. I think the Astros will be winning the NL Central this year with Brewers and Cards in 2nd and 3rd. Just my opinion."what qualifies as a "Save" for a pitcher in baseball?"?
I'm an Astros fan...and after what I've seen recently, the Brew crew is definately much improved... and you wanna see Ben Sheets do well with a good team (he is probably the best pitcher with a career losing record there is)... I hope they have some success this year...it'll make the NL Central more competitive... and less of the "Comedy Central" it has been.Who is the best defensive shortstop in MLB history?
In a word no. They have a nice young team in a weak division. Get some good starters and relief help. Not to mention some more bats and you might have a contender. Was 1996 the year of the juice? Take a look at this and tell me what you think?
Milwaukee has very good pitching, a solid lineup. You cannot say that for a lot of teams in the NL. They will compete all year long.I don't understand why Mariano Rivera is above everyone else?
There is an air about THIS team THIS year that hasn't been there since the days of Yount and Molitor and that dusty '82 AL Pennant. It would have been nice to see winning seasons and playoffs the last two seasons, but looking back it seems unlikely. Those teams, even without the injuries, while capable, would have been overachieving to reach the post season. Talent can only take youth and inexperience so far. But this year, at least at the get go, that talent is being bolstered by growing confidence; and it has parlayed into wins. Melvin, Ash, and Attanasio have done a spectacular building the team to what it is in 2007 and have made it known what their expectations are. The players seem to have bought into the winning attitude and are starting to do what we fans have wanted to for so long, believe. If the Brewers continue to believe their best baseball is yet to be played and keep striving for improvement, the NL Central is theirs for the taking. Let's hope Brew City hears something it hasn't heard since the first prank call to 867-5309, the crack of a Brewers bat in October.Name Your Perfect Baseball Team, At This Moment In The Season?
Whatever it is april. By September the Cardinals will be in first place. The Brewers might get the wild card but I think the Cubs will win it. Baseball analysts have been saying it is the Brwers year since 2005 and what have they done the last two years. Thats right not make the playoffs. Go Cards! How can I watch the yankees red sox game online urgent before 7:00?
They have very nice young talented hitting ball club that will be able to score enough run on day the pitching staff isn't doing so well. If that pitching staff gets hot they will be a team that people will have to respect .Who is the best player right now and why?
I like them a lot and thin they will stay competitive all year. I LOVE their young offense (Fielder, Weeks, Hardy, Hall), but I really didn't like the Doug Davis trade to tell you the truth. I think Estrada is overrated...I am begging you for a favor...?
They look solid with the bats. The pitching can be a little better but that comes with time.More Questions & Answers...
