I know for sure they'll probably make it to the world series but it depends on who they play if they will actually WIN the world series a lot depends on how their pitching holds up and on injuries. They won't make the World Series. I am sorry to say but, your prediction is a dud. There are many team better and stronger than the Mets. Mets will make the playoffs but, unless the Braves keep up their good work. There is a slim chance they will take the division. The Wild Card is coming out of the NL Central and it will probably be the Cubs. And the Cards will tkae that division and probably go to the World Series.They will lose in the World Series to the Yankees. They will dominate the NL, but only be one of the top5 in the ML

The Mets have a legitimate shot at winning the World Series this year. Their disgruntled starting pitching has proved they can step up, their bats are tremendous from the gates, and their bullpen has shown they can play well. However, there are several other teams in the NL that, if they can heat up, will be a threat. The Braves have shown they're going to give the Mets a tough battle thanks to a solid bullpen this season. Also, if the Dodgers can somehow get their pitching to work, they're going to go a long ways this season.Finally, the question is, can anyone stop the yankees or the angels? Right now, the Yankees have wicked bats and some bullpen work that is helping carry the struggling starters. If they keep it up, especially A-Rod, we could see a 27th franchise WS victory. Also, i think with the depth and bats the Angels have, they run a legitimate shot a another title. Lackey, Santana, Weaver, and J-Rod could solidify their excellence on the mound, and Vladi could easily find himself making some pitchers his b!tch.
Mets stand a good chance, its a matter if they can keep it up.
