You don't need surgery. Use ice between games and icyhot during the game if you need to.You should see someone about your mechanics, that could be the cause of your problem.
Will the Cubs win the World Series by the time they reach 100 years without winning one?
Ice your arm after every pitching appearance. Surgery is probably not necessary (it is natural for a pitchers arm to hurt), but if it seriously hurts then you need to have it checked out. Trust me having to get surgery and missing the rest of the season is better than throwing out your arm or tearing a ligament.Who will be in the final running for MVP? AL and NL?
cowboy upCould you sit out if the choice was between doing so and doing permanent and possibly severe damage to your shoulder?
You can't tell what you need. The same is true of everyone else here. That's what doctors are for. See one.
Did you see Igawa try to hit that guy on the upper deck?
Couple questions from someone who was drafted once upon a time before blowing out a shoulder - please answer back and I'll give you my best bit of medical knowledge.1. What sort of a climate do you live in?
2. Do you throw overhand, three quarters, sidearm, or submarine?
3. Do you start or relieve?
4. What is your normal regimen for between times that you pitch?
5. How old are you and what pitches besides a fastball do you throw?
Until I know the answers to those questions, its hard for me to
give you a proper answer. If you plan on a career beyond where you are now, you have to listen to your body. Pain is actually the fourth indicator of something not being right. Listen to your body and give it some time to heal. If you simply have to jeopardize your future, ice your entire arm after each time out for a minimum of 30 minutes, max of 1 hour. Your arm should be sore the day after pitching, because you just did something unnatuaral with your muscles...
