In your opinion, who are the best 5 active left-handed starting pitchers?!?

Question:The best that come to my mind include Johan Santana, CC Sabathia, Scott Kazmir, Cole Hamels, Randy Johnson, Andy Pettitte, Barry Zito, Dontrelle Willis, and Tom Glavine...I am curious to see what other people think, and list your 1 to 5

Answers:

What does WHIP stand for and how is it figured for pitchers in baseball?

1. Johann Santana -- the guy is ruthless, now only if he can get some run support
2. Cole Hamels -- can only get better, still rather unknown but seems to be blowing people away left and right
3. Rich Hill -- another young arm who is progressing well, he's been turning heads this year
4. CC Sabathia -- he is finally living up to his potential, probably will never win a Cy Young, but is still evolving into what people expected him to be
5. Dontrelle Willis -- still young, and now with plenty of experience, look to him to get a fat contract very soon

Notables:
Barry Zito -- already in his prime and has already been slowing down
Tom Glavine -- was good in his prime but nowadays won't be on a list like this
Randy Johnson -- I think his time is up, already had a good career its time to hang it up

Quietly Getting it Done:
Ted Lilly
Chris Capuano
Randy Wolf
Tom Gorzelanny
Noah Lowry
Mark Buehrle

Sooooooooooooooooo?

How many pennants did the mets win?

1. CC Sabathia
2. Johan Santana
3. Scott Kazmir
4. Cole Hamels
5. Dontrelle Willis

CC tops my list because is just a dominating pitcher in all aspects of the game. Santana next because he is a strikeout king but lacks the ability to close out close games against tough opponents. Kazmir next because of his potential. He is an excellent pitcher, but he is young and inconsistent at times. With work I think he can develop into a star in this league. Hamels fourth due to his ability to do anything and everything. He probably should be higher but I don't get to see much of him where I'm at. And willis because he has some nasty pitches.

Does anyone know what happened to Javy Lopez? The former Atlanta Braves and Baltimore Orioles catcher.?

1. Santana
2. Sabathia
3. Hamels
4. Glavine
5. Bedard

Liriano would have definitely made my list if he wasn't on the DL.
Pettite, Willis, Capuano, Cliff Lee, and Kazmir are my second team And Oliver Perez (based solely on his potential and last 3-4 game) could join this group in a few years. He certainly has the ability.
