Why can't the colorado rockies win the west?

Question:is it the altitude? is it coors field? is it management? what? the only time we made the playoffs, we had the blake street bombers, average starters, top 5 bullpen.

When you look at the Rockies offense, you can tell that those guys are not the issue...youth, speed, patience, and power everywhere. The problem is obvious...the horrible pitching staff. Jeff Francis and Jason Hirsh show promise, but pitching at Coors does not help them at all. Everyone else has either failed elsewhere or is starting to fail now...everyone besides Brian Fuentes and LaTroy Hawkins would not be counted on in important situations if they were on a better team...and you need to look at the competition...all the other clubs in the division have great, strong, young starting rotations and consistent bullpens. Simply put, the Rockies have no one who can compare to the likes of Brandon Webb, Randy Johnson, Barry Zito, Matt Cain, Tim Lincecum, Jason Schmidt, Derek Lowe, Brad Penny, Takashi Saito, Jake Peavy, Chris Young, or Trevor Hoffman...all those guys are NL West players

Do you think that the fact that Barry Bonds is having such a great season proves he didn't do steroids?
