He is better than TIm McCarver and Joe Buck who are the worst announcers other than possibly the Yankee ones.

As a commentator, he's great... HOWEVER, while all the Jackie Robinson festivities were going on, Morgan was getting into how the African-American percentage right now in the MLB is at around 8% (which is factual). He then went on to bash his former club the Houston Astros for not having one African-American player on their club. He did it in a way as if to suggest that this is what they are trying to do. That is just a little too much for me... Let's look at it: In their history, they've had some great African-American talent come through their doors... JOE MORGAN, Cesar Cedeno, Bob Watson, Enos Cabell, Moises Alou, Carl Everett, J.R. Richard, Preston Wilson (last year), Tony Eusebio (by no means a HOF'er),...and the list goes on and on. They even currently employ a great player of his time...and excellent bench coach, Cecil Cooper who happens to be African-American. So, what is the necessity in insinuating this?... True, African-American involvement may be down... But, to suggest that teams like the Astros would WANT/CREATE it this way is absolute non-sense...and if this is the sort of smut that is going to roll out his mouth, then in my eyes he loses all credibility as a commentator... Even if he is a former Astro... He didn't get great 'til he was with Cinci anyway!What do I think of Joe Morgan?
