I know this team I'm gonna mention didn't have the worst record ever, but the team I hated the most and thought was the most ugly and pathetic to watch was the Mets in the mid-90's. Talk about an eyesore to watch, that team pissed me off and was full of overpaid has-beens and cancers. They even wrote a book called "The Worst Team Money Could Buy" dedicated to the Mets during that time. Bobby Bonilla, Eddie Murray, Vince Coleman, Bret Saberhagen, Frank Viola, Jeff Kent, and so on. All that talent that was either washed up or just a total pain in the a$s to deal with and it was a colossal disaster! Oh I almost forgot we had Anthony Young, who set a record for most consecutive losses by a pitcher by losing more than 20 decisions in a row or something. And if that's not enough, we had a car full of idiots throw firecrackers out the window while the team was in LA and injuring a woman and child, leading to criminal charges and more embarrassment. The worst I've seen were the 1962 Mets, their first year of existence (I obviously go back a ways!) They lost 120 games. Their roster consisted of a combination of over-the-hill guys, mediocrities and kids who needed more minor league seasoning. It was quite a comedown for manager Casey Stengel and his glory days with the Yankees. But Casey did provide a lot of entertainment. After some particularly horrendous play, he famously asked, "Can anybody here play this game?"
