i don't know. think about it. he has a lot of hr's yes..but think about it. a rod would be expected to hit a lot of hr's past his prime years to match barry and hanks numbers. he's never had a serious injury to make him miss a season (he's due for one that's my point).i honestly feel that somewhere down the line that he's gonna end up like griffey. one of the best ever who didn't finish his career very strong. but oh boy when he was in his prime...
so i say a rod won't break any record. he might finish number 2 in hr's..but that's it i say.
i want to go on record as saying i am an arod fan. so i'm not hating on the guy. i just think its unrealistic to think that because he has certain numbers that he's a lock to take down any records. lets wait til he hits 650 before we start talking about records.. i mean we might as well give albert pujols the records RIGHT NOW...because he's on pace to break A RODS NON EXISTANT records right now.
lets hope that (as long as with the Yankees) he breaks the strikeout record and the record for hitting into the most double plays. Yankees spend soooo much money and still suck. Go anyone else.

Definitely homers and rbi's. He should have over 650 homers and 2000 rbi w/in 5 years, then he'll close in on both records in the twilight of his career. Can anybody give me anything about Jackie Robinson other than he broke the color line in baseball?
The hitter with the fattest head is a definite. How did J.J. Hardy become such a beast?
Hopefully it's a record for getting hit in the head by pitches. I love the Yanks, and I hope we get rid of this scumbag. He could hit 300 home runs this year, and it doesn't make up for the fact that he made the most money and had to hide eight in the lineup when we needed him. Big baby. Jeter handles the boos (oh yes, we boo everyone). Maybe he should have stayed in Texas where baseball is the fifth sport and no one cared.maybe @ best most home runs in a season, but I don't think he'll get to Barry's all time record.
What team did detroit beat to get in the world series.?
i say he will end his career with 835 homer runsI have been wondering why baseball "experts" continue to say Babe Ruth is the best slugger ever?
He could beat them all, he could beat none. Baseball is tricky. Something could happen to him where he becomes injured and is never the same. Or he could become horrible. We don't know that. Of course he can become even better and break everything. I don't see him breaking the homerun record though. He's getting older and he has other priorites that will cause him to retire before he gets even close to that opportunity.Which team has the most obnoxious fans?
