Wat is the best way to throw a curve ball?
well if your the ace on a decent highschool team then why would you want to change anything. just keep doing what you've been doing to become the ace and you should be all set.Been there done that... the first thing to do is to RELAX.
Your tendancy is too try to hard and overthrow. You can't let this happen, if you try and throw harder than normal it is going to cost you in accuracy greatly.
Just take a little extra time and think through your pitches, make sure your throwing the best thing for the situation and don't get carried away in the emotion.
Physically: Just keep on pitching WITH A CATCHER. It doesnt matter who; the catcher on the team, a brother, whatever. First concentrate on aim, then on speed.
Mentally: Just say to yourself "It's not so hard. (Just pitch the best you can.)"
Where can I learn what the baseball signals mean?
Physically: do nothing you don't usually do the day before a game (e.g. what your coach and/or trainer recommend). Overtraining will do you more harm than good.Mentally: just go out there and do the best you can. Don't let them intimidate you and don't overpitch. Remember that even the greatest baseball teams of all time lost games, and there's no reason your team can't be the one to beat them.
What are those new team necklaces wore by baseball players called?
1) Treat it like "just another game". That's the most important thing. Don't get yourself too pumped up. You'll get nervous and force things. If you're the ace, you've obviously got some talent. Just put it to work like you always do.2) Control, control, control. The most important pitch you can throw is "strike 1". In the major leagues, hitters bat 100 points higher if the first pitch is a ball, than if it's a strike. Get ahead of hitters, throw strikes, don't walk guys. Let them put the ball in play if you have to, and trust your defense.
3) Don't be afraid to come inside on hitters, don't be afraid to brush them off the plate either. You want to make them uncomfortable, scare them a little bit. Its like Yogi Berra used to say, 90% of this game is half mental. If you get inside their heads, they're halfway back to the dugout.
4) Use the fundamentals. If a guy has an open stance, pitch him away. If a guy has a closed stands or crowds the plate, hammer him in. If a guy holds the bat horizontal, you pitch him up in the zone. If he holds the bat verticle, you keep the ball down. Every swing has a hole and a weakness. If you know them, you can use them against the batter.
