Underhand pitching help?
Question:I have a HUGE baseball game today and i want to know any good underhand tips?I want to know how to pitch real fast underhand and how to curv the ball.
Answers:
First, try to maintain the same delivery you have throwing overhand, but at the apex of the pitch when your arm is cocked, simply deliver the ball underhanded instead of overhand. The underhanded softball windmill delivery is WAY too complicated and dependent upon practice and timing to simply go out and do with no practice. This slingshot method will have to do in a pinch...
As far as making the ball move, the best you can hope for is holding the ball on the sides rather than depending upon any arm twisting, turning, or anything else related. The best you can do without seriously damaging your arm is to hold the ball in various ways so you impart various spins, and consequently different movements, to the ball.
There you have it. You should have planned on this sooner, and you could have practiced. (And I could have helped you more because I am very, very good at coaching such things IF I HAVE THE TIME!)
BEST OF LUCK, AND BE CAREFUL!

I am sorry but what is the purpose of it all.If you are using an actual hardball what kind of control will you have trying to throw it hard underhanded for 60 feet. I do not think a PRO could it. If this game is HUGE as you stated play basic baseball. If it is just for FUN then do not worry about it.Oldest baseball park still in use?
im not sure how to throw it underhand cause i always throw overhand, but i read an article that said if a pro pitcher could learn to throw underhand that he could reach speeds up to 110 mph. Mainly due to the fact that underhand is a more natural way of throwing, and puts less strain on your arm. thats why softball players can pitch every single gameMore Questions & Answers...
