What rivals would u rather see in the World Series...Dodgers/Angels, Yanks/Mets, Cubs/White Sox or Giants/A's?

Who's your favorite team?

Simply due to the talent that both teams would be able to offer, I would have to say the Yankees / Mets would be the most intriguing matchup in the World Series.

Sure, they met before not too long ago, but neither team - especially the Mets - was as loaded as they both are this year. I truly had no doubt that the Yankees would prevail in the previous matchup, and have to guess that even many of the Mets fans back then, though their hearts hoped for a different outcome, had their minds tell them a Yankees' victory would be pretty much inevitable. This year would be much more competitive, to be sure... It could truly go either way, but it would go seven games.

The second most intriguing matchup would be the Dodgers / Angels, though I believe the Dodgers' pitching would prevail in the long run. Despite the results of the recently completed three game series, I believe the Dodgers would get their bats going and thanks to the pitching, outplay the Angels. Dodgers 4 games to 2.

By the end of the year, the Cubs will be very much in contention thanks to Lou Pinella's style of managing. It hurts me to say that because if it weren't for him, I would still be hoping that Wrigley Field sank into Lake Michigan, but he is one of the best, and will show that this year - mark my words. If they and the White Sox were to meet in the World Series, it would be by far the most colorful, and both teams would be lucky to have their managers on the bench for more than half the time due to "disagreements" with the umpires. I am afraid to say this, but after that World Series matchup I might be ready to meet my maker, because years ago I told a friend of mine I would live until The White Sox, Red Sox, and Cubs each won a championship. I thought I'd live for centuries, but now thanks to Pinella I'm getting a little nervous... Cubs 4-3.

A Giants vs A's Series matchup would feature two rather boring teams, so I don't know who would win, or even care. I love both sides of the bay, but their teams these days have really gone on the skids as far as having any personality or true Pennant-winning skill. What is there exciting out there by the bay besides bashing Bonds? If the teams were any good, perhaps both the media and fans would leave poor Barry alone. Right now, there is nothing else going on... Flip a coin for a winner, but maybe favor the A's by a ninth inning seeing eye single in the bottom of the ninth in Oakland, since once again the American League will get homefield advantage...

Oddest looking player in a new uniform?

Definately Dodgers Angels, no one would have to travel from 1 ballpark to the other, in less then an hour.

Where is the Texas Rangers baseball team located?

Mets v. Yankees. Im from Anaheim and the Angels/Dodgers rivalry is pretty boring and same with Giants/A's. The Cubs/White Sox and Mets/Yankees are on a national scale. I wouldn't mind seeing the Cubs win. Its about time.

Is Fenway Park rigged? (non-Yankee/Red Sox fans only)?

Yanks/Mets considering the lineups they present.

Which former Toronto Blue Jay is currently the manager of Canada’s national baseball team?

I would rather see the Cubs vs. White Sox in the World Series. This rivalry has actually had some fights and clearing of the benches. Just last year A.J. Piersynski was involved with many players in a fight between these two teams. Yankees and Mets are also another good rivalry, but you just don't hear about the other rivalries that much. I mean these two teams are in the same exact city. I would definitely say that I would like to see the Chicago Cubs vs. White Sox in the World Series.

Is it just me or did Red Sox Management blow 100 Million-plus on Daisuke?

Yankees vs. Mets.

Who owns the tampa bay devil rays?

yankees/mets the others r boring

What is the next city to get an MLB team?

Mets and Yankees. Bragging rights in New York go a long way.

What is Grady Sizemore's Nationality?

I would have to go with Cbs/White Sox because of the scale that it is on. We have seen the Mets/Yankees in a Series before. The Giants/A's and Angels/Dodgers are boring because neither of the two American League teams represented there have very good histories. The Cubs haven't been to a series since the "Billy Goat" and the White Sox have a deep rooted tradition in playing quality baseball.

Is that catch by Derek Jeter where he goes into the stands THAT good (read the details!)?

It would be nice to see A-Rod get a ring. Yankees vs, Mets for me.

Does this avatar not say it all?

Do you think that the braves should find a new closer because Bob Wickman has kept on losing.?

Pretty spare and uninteresting options, but I'd go with Dodgers-Angels. We've seen all the others, though the Chicago showdown was quite some time ago.

Yankees-Mets -- 2000
Athletics-Giants with special guest star Loma Prieta Earthquake -- 1989
White Sox-Cubs -- 1906

Do you think Joe Torrre will really be fired as manager of the Yankees?

I am a Mets fan; my father, brother, wife and father-in-law are Yankees fans -- definitely a Mets-Yanks series.

If you were a major leaguer and were coming up to bat what song would they put on for you?

Let's see.
Yankees - Mets = We saw this in 2000. So why see it again. Plus, New Yorkers all have big egos and think that the world revolves around their town - so no.
A's - Giants = This would mean Bonds in the World Series. No
Dodger's - Angels = This would be an entertaining series. If I did not live in Chicago I would say yes... but...
Cubs - Sox = This would be the most intense of the series stated. The teams and fans hate each other. Families would go to war. Plus, to watch the Cubs and their fans hearts destroyed by my beloved White Sox - priceless!

How come MLB players get injury so easily? Aren't they supposed to be 'Athlete' strong?

Being a DIE HARD Yankee Fan,I would say Yankees and Mets. But,they already met back in the 2000 World Series.Remember, the Piazza/Clemens bat incident.

The Giants and A's met back in 1989.It was called the Bay Area Series, until Game 3 was interrupted by a earthquake.

So,that would leave the Battle for Second City(Chicago),and The Hollywood Showdown(Los Angeles/Anahiem).

Can you ever pitch again with a torn rotator cup?

I'm going to give you one thats not on your list. I'd like to see a repeat of the I-70 series from '85. Royals and Cardinals. I realize thats not really a possiblity anytime soon, though.

Will Steve Garvey ever make the HOF?

yanks/mets as long as someone gets thrown at

Does anyone know how much a rare MLB Rockies Hat would be worth?

I am probably older than most of you. In my earliest memories, the World Series was always the Yankees vs. the Dodgers. It's not the World Series otherwise. And then only if the Yankees win.
