How do I pick a favorite MLB team if...?
Question:Live in NC and closest MLB team is 7+ hours away.
Have Yankees radio affiliate, Braves on TBS, Cubs on WGN.
Only been to two MLB games, Phillies was first game, Orioles was second.
Braves and Indians class-A minor league affiliates are 1.5 hours away.
So...I've narrowed my decision down to those 6 teams.
Yankees, Braves, Cubs, Phillies, Orioles, and Indians. Been watching all those teams for two seasons, and still cannot decide on a favorite baseball team. Any suggestions?

Why are aluminum bats not allowed in Major League Baseball ?
You obviously have an interest in baseball. Whoever you choose, stick with them. I've been a Phillies fan my whole life despite the fact that they've only won 1 world championship and I moved away from the Philadelphia area 17 years ago. I follow them online. Everyone loves a winner, but I suggest that you not necessarily go by who wins the most. Take the list of teams above and put them on a piece of paper. Now if someone handed you that list and asked you what team you would like to go and see, whatever team you pick would be the team you should follow, since that's the team that you'd most want to see.PS - I live 6 hours away from the Phillies, so I know what you mean about living so far away from a major league team.

Do fans hold Baseball up to a different standard then other sports?
Go with Braves or Indians.1) Everyone jumps on the Yankees bandwagon. It is too full. So is the Cubs and Boston. It is too ordinary to like these teams.
You should go with the Indians or Braves. Reasons are real simple. It you live close enough to go to their minor league games, you can track the progress of the players thru time, and say "I remember this guy when he was playing in the minor leagues".

Look at who has the best over all record (yankees) and the best current avg (Orioles). Or think about this: which team would you be most willing to pay to see play? What types of pitches do you use to strike out rightys? Leftys? Where do you locate the pitches?
Choose which team you follow the most, for example if you watch every Yankees game become a Yankees fan.Does anyone know about a Mickey Mantle card?
The Yankees have too many people on their bandwagon, the Cubs will break your heart when they don't make the playoffs and the Braves are ok.I would pick the Indians, they look really good this year.
Ultimately the decision is yours, pick the team that you are drawn to the most.

Does anyone have any upper deck kids codes for 100+ points?
You just have to go with whichever team you enjoy watching the most. Im a Red Sox fan I live in Maine so they are on TV all the time. I became a Sox fan before they had the extra innings package on TV. But now I have learned so much about the team im with them for life.So whichever team you really enjoy the most whether its the style of play or a certain player or anything that you enjoy most root for them.
Its totally up to you in the end just enjoy yourself and be loyal

It's too bad Charlotte doesn't have a team. I think a team would be great there. If I were you I might go with Atlanta or Cleveland. One thing as someone who has watched a fair amount of minor league baseball is the thrill you have when guys you saw play minor league ball make it to the majors. I saw Ryan Howard, for example, play A ball four years before his huge season in Philadelphia. Also saw Nomar Garciapiara become an icon- and has his number retired, playing AA ball.
