Right now, I do think htat it is Reggie Willits, because he is hitting better than most accomplished veterans do. But, in the end, I think that Daisuke will end up winning the award. He's not doing amazing right now, but he has the stuff to be great. No way. WIllits only has 97 at bats with no homers and only 6 RBI's. Especially when you have guys like Hunter Pence from Houston, who in only 69 at bats, has 4 homers and 15 RBI's and 2 triples. He's also batting .348 and has one more double than Willits.Granted they are in separate leagues, but Willits has to contribute more offensively to win that award. The AL is too deep. The two stud outfielders from Tampa Bay will battle it out (Elijah Dukes and Delmon Young) Both are better offensive players than Willits, and both have played the entire season.

Travis Buck and Delmon Young are going to be the ones neck and neck with this thing. Willits will be a far 3rd. although Buck is only hitting he does have these numbers .239 he has 4 homers, 14 rbis, 12 runs scored, 6 doubles, 3 triples, 0 stolen bases and 12 runs.
Reggie Willits .371 0 homers, 6 rbi's, 4 doubles, 0 triples, 9 stolen bases, and 19 runs.
Which would you prefer someone who can steal you a base or someone who can hit to the gaps with power. I'm going to have to say the one who can hit to the gaps and thats going to be Buck. Sorry Willits maybe having good time right now but thats going to change where as Buck will continue developing and raising that batting average up.
But right now who's probably the leading canidate is the one with the most homeruns the most rbi's and probably one of the best talents in the league and that is Delmon Young he too will start to hit.
