How do I throw these balls?: A slurve ball and a sinker?

Question:I need to know how to throw those , please help me!

Whos is the best closer pitcher in the MLB?

The SLURVE is simple.
1)Hold the ball with the seams placing your index & middle fingers against the left side of seams at the place on the ball where they run nearly parallel and are the closest to each other as they get antwhere else on the ball.
2)Using regular fastball arm speed and delivery, lock your wrist so the thumb is on the side of the ball closest to your ear. (picture it as throwing a football or a dart)

DO NOT snap your elbow or wrist. Also, Remember that this pitch should appear to be a fastball so you'll rarely, if ever throw it for a strike. It's most effective thrown just left of the middle of the plate, slurving to just off the plate. And unless you can really bring the fastball (and therefore this pitch as well) I'd be real carefull throwing it to lefty's

The SINKER is easier than you might think.
1)Hold the ball with the seams instead of across them
2)Apply a little pressure to the bottom of the ball with your thumb

This will reduce the 6-12 spin. Also, be aware that using your thumb will reduce velocity a little, but that's ok. If you use the same arm speed as your fastball, the difference in speed will be negligible and the drop will be just enough to get your double play ball.

Going further. Take a little off of it. You now have a terrific off-speed pitch that sinks alot more. You'll get some K's out of it, but you'll get a ton of weak ground balls to 3rd base

If Bonds hit the record breaker homerun in the All Star game. Would it count?

By the way I don't recomend throwing a Slurve as you can easily hang it if you don't have proper command of it. Try throwing a Curve or Slider instead.

Why do baseball games always start at 5 minutes after the hour?

I've heard a slurve described as just a slider with heavier spin to it. One way to throw it is have your thumb on one side of the ball and your middle and index fingers together resting below a seam on the other side of the ball. Then when releasing the pitch you run the fingers (middle and index) down the side of the ball very quickly. And also very key is the wrist snap, from which much of the movement comes.

A sinker as it is thrown in the higher levels is usually a two-seam fastball (index and middle fingers along and over the narrow seams, thumb underneath on the horseshoe seam). To get good sink, you have to throw it hard and low in the zone with a good downward angle (if you get under the ball at release, it won't sink). Some pitchers move one or both fingers slightly inward from the seams to get more sinking action. One version, which some people call the "Little League sinker," actually has the fingers together in the middle of the smooth cover between the narrow seams. This pitch usually drops sharply but is slow and difficult to control. If you have good arm action, the basic two-seam grip should give you all the sink you need. Just a few of inches of sink on a two-seamer will yield many ground balls. Experiment with variations on the basic two-seam fastball grip and see what works for you.
Your questions are very good - I hope everybody can be such a smart pitcher as you - these two pitches could be used as secret weapons and catching the batter off guard. THe best time to throw them is after any kind of fastball

When will the 2008 MLB schedule be available?

The wording of your questions indicates that you're in your early teens. That's the style and the so-called urgency of your plea.

Unless you know for a fact that the growth plates in your arm have closed (which only your doctor can tell, after reading x-rays), you have no business whatsoever even thinking about throwing anything but fastballs. Throwing fastballs helps with arm strength, with learning how to get movement on your pitches and with your command. Without these, you can't pitch, period.

Don't be such a hurry to grow up. And don't be in such a hurry to cause serious and permanent damage to your arm. If your coach thinks that this is what you need, he does not have your best interests at heart and ought, in fact, to be removed from that position forever.

Who hates every team but the twins?

you are too young to throw anything but fastballs and a little league change up.
