Who has the Best/Worst fan base in baseball?
Question:I'd say:
Best: Cubs- they've sucked for several years before, and yet, Wrigley was almost always packed with screaming fans, they stick with 'em... cudoes... and i hope they make a playoff run this year for their sake.
Worst: Mets- remember when Chase Utley had that hitting streak going last year? Did u know that the Mut fans booed him when he came to bat at Shea?... no class, they ALL should have been on their feet applauding him.
..I'm a Yanks' fan for the record
Answers:
Do you believe that Roger Clemens is using hgh or steroids ?
Worst by far any team in Philadelphia. They stink bad followed closely by the Cubs. They are totally disrespectful when going to another town.Best Boston Red Sox
Why are pitchers FAT and HAIRY, does it help their mechanics?
Best:Yankees- While they are impatient, they will always stand up for themselves and are willing to withstand the elements for their team. They are troopers and come to all stadiums in the country (maybe with the exception of fenway) to support their team.Worst: Red Sox- They are rude and vile people. They have no tolerance and worse, no sense of humor! They are also very poor sports and seem to be a rather bitter bunch.
Worst - Cubs. They don't pack Wrigley to go to the game. They go for the party. Just go to a game there and ask who is #13. See how many people know who it is.
Best - New York Yankees. Try to get Yankee tickets. They show up, and make noise all game, every game. They know their stuff too. They are what the Cubs wish they were.
Do you agree with bud selig this is the golden era in everyway?
Best fans are the Indians. Did anyone see how many people where in the stands when almost a foot of snow fell on the field on Friday night? yet alone NO Cleveland team has a major sports championship in the last 40 years the last coming in 1966 with the Browns winning the AFL championship before the merger of the NFL and AFL which happened in 1970 the Indians last in 1945 and Cavs have never won. CLEVELAND is the city that hasn't won a championship in the longest amount of timeworst- cubs shut up already about Bartman and the stupid goat. the Bartman ball was clearly in the stands and therefore not gonna be caught. the dude was just trying to get a souvenir.
Easily Florida those retired old geezers never come out to see the Marlins and won't even build them a new stadium after 2 World Series championships.
Can someone please explain to me how the home run derby works?
Best- Id have to say cardinals, they pack the stadium day in and day out, and have quite possibly the most knowledgable fan base in the country.Worst - Im going to say the diamondbacks, although its really a tough call. My main reason is because i recall when they went to the World Series a few seasons back, the newspaper in Phoenix took out a full page ad to explain the rules of baseball to the residents of the city. Theres nothing that sticks in my craw worse than fans that dont know the game. It seems more and more that baseball games are a hang out place for yuppies than a place for the real fans who want to see the game.
As far as your comments on the Mets, i would argue just the opposite. If youre a Mets fan, why would you root for someone on the opposing team. Im a Reds fan and i remember seeing McGwire play in Cincinnati the year he hit 70 and he got a bigger round of applause from the reds fans then any player on the Reds which made me sick. Then late in the game, the Reds had a 1 on lead with a guy on base for the Cards and first base open, and the Reds walked him intentionally and got booed, in their own stadium, disgusting. I would take the Mets fans booing Utley, over Reds fans booing their own players for trying to win a game any day of the week.
YoU gUyS i NeEd As MaNy AnSwErS aS pOsSiBlE fOr ThIs So PlEeEaSsEeE rEaD!!?
Best: The Oakland A's fan they realize that every year we are going to either be in the playoffs or come close based on our talent and our minor league system. So losing someone like a Tejada, Giambi, Zito, Hudson, Thomas, Mulder, and Dye to other teams doesn't hurt as much if it were any other team.Worst: The absolute worst fans in baseball are yankees fans booing A-Rod, They are spoiled have no knowledge of what a player has done for them and don't appreciate talent when they see it.
Who will win the 2007 MLB awards? Tell me who you think?
Worst (by far): Red Sux fans. 3 or 4 years ago (I forget the exact year), when they and the Yanks made the playoffs, fans actually went out in the streets and broke the windows and lights of any car with a NY license plate. The car didn't even have to say Yankees anywhere, just the fact that it was from NY was enough. If that's not the worst, then I don't know what is.Best-Oakland A's, they always cheer ppl on and know they will come close to the playoffs and hopefully win it!! I <3 the A's!!
Worst-Giants, Red Sox, and Yankees. some of those team can be mean fans.
Will the Yankees bounce back and reclaim first by the end of the season?
Best-Either Oakland A's or Chicago Cubs. Yeah, okay, the A's dont sell out every game, but they sure do have a lot of spirit. Have you seen their bleachers? I don't think think any other team has drummers, so many banners, and a flag crew. Even though I personally don't like it, (rally killers) their fans invented "the wave".As for the Cubs, player hater pretty much nailed it. They stick with their team no matter what. They'll have a lot to cheer for this year.
Worst-Yankees. The one thing that pisses me off the most is when the fans boo at A-Rod. Okay, he may not be clutch at times, but he puts up really good numbers. You can ask any MLB manager, they'll be happy to sign a guy that hits 30+ homeruns and 100+ rbis in a season. Even if he costs over 20 mil a year. Don't forget that the fans all of the sudden LOVE HIM when he does hit a homerun. TRUE Bandwagon fans.
Who on your team would you trade for a Pack of Hot Dogs and season tickets to the Devil Rays?
Best: Cardinals fans. They are generally very classy. They will applaud any good play, even if it's the opposing team. Also, they are real baseball fans. They care about what's happening on the field, not in the stands, nor do they trash talk.Worst: Giants fans. They are blind to the negativity and lack of class that Barry Bonds brings to the plate and to the game.
Can the dodgers get to world series?
best- i would say redsox and cub fans.red sox didnt win a championiship for over 80 years and they,re fans never gave up and they always believed until it happened even when they were down 3-0 to the "mighty yankees".and the cubs they havent been too good for years but they,re fans are still believing.redsox and cub fans are some of the best and passionate fans that you,ll find in all of sports.......an... i dnt really care if ur a yankee fan but in my opinion they,re fans are some of the worst in all of sports and if ur not too brain washed in the whole "yankee" thing you,ll figure it out too.yankee fans are obnoxious and soooooooooo ignorant for example:take A-rod they boo the guy becuz he doesnt come through in the 9th inning.lets face it even if redsox fans are difficult too but if A-rod played in boston they wouldnt boo him.yankee fans need to get a clue.and yes met fans are way better than yankee fans.Best- I think that the best fans are the Los Angles Dodgers fans. They are classy and and treat the oposition with respect
Worse- Florida Marlins. They win two world titals and they have all this young talent and no one comes to watch them
