Question:I know that you CAN throw a curve from little league distance, which is approximately 40 feet. I also know intuitively that you CANNOT throw a curve from 2 feet away from a catcher. What is the distance at which the curve DOES become a throwable pitch?

What time did game 7 of 1962 world series end?

This depends on is you are talking physics or logistics. The ball curving because of the force of the spin, or because of gravity simply pulling on the ball. A 12-6 curve ball (spins with the 12-6 angle as on on clock) has a virtual "drop". You could simulate this effect from 2 feet away, just as it would curve from 45' or 60'6". Also depends on whether you are simply trying to make the ball move or fool a batter. For the movement to take place, the ball will begin to break as soon as it leaves the pitchers hand.
