Espn sportscaster craig seger?

My wife knows Mariano Rivera. She worked in child protective services at the time and he would listen to her as she would describe her job. He told her "I could never do your job." He's humble, kind human being. Too bad he's a Yankee.

Name the starting 9 marlins and theyre position(1st one to answer correctly gets 10 points)?

I met Darryl Strawberry at a baseball card show in 1987 when I was 6 years old. I just remember him being very tall but he was really, REALLY nice, shook my hand, thanked me for being a Mets fan and signed an 8x10 photo for me that I still have.

How was it that the Marlins manager was chosen as manager of the year and then got fired?

I’ve meet Greg Luzinski, Darren Daulton, and Larry Anderson. That was a pretty cool experience mostly because we were buying drinks for them, and they were hanging with me and my friends. I’ve also meet Charles Barkley and he is a really cool guy insisted on buying us drinks all day great guy. My father tells me stories how he meet Connie Mack, and how Connie Mack gave him money for candy if they would carry his packages for him.

Who is the best pitcher in baseball this year?

John Curtis, pitcher for the Cards and Giants, if I remember correctly. He lived down the block from us when I was growing up. We played pitch back (remember that?) in his yard a few times one summer. Helped us with technique and throwing angles, batting stance, and respect of the game. He was traded and that was that.

What is the shortest baseball game?

I took my Grandchildren to spring training to see the Brewers in Arizona and they are in the 7-10 yr old range and just love baseball. They got pretty much all of the Brewers autographs on their gloves and hats mainly because they were polite and were respectful to the players while at the same time being awestruck...players like Bill Hall and Geoff Jenkins were just so nice to everyone and everybody. They would just stand there signing away chatting the whole time with everyone, asking where your from and really paying attention the kids and everyone got taken care of. It was a nice experience for them.

How to heal a thrown-out arm?

Who was the last MLB player to bat 400 on the season?

I met Jim Leyland a few times at a restaurant I used to work at in Florida. I will always remember him as a very kind and gracious person.

Braves @ Boston?

Yes, I have met several MLB players and got their autographs.

At one time, when Terry Collins was our manager he, Dave Hollins, Gary DiSarcina, Clyde Wright showed up at my High School doing this Caravan thing. It's been a while, since this happened when I was a teenager. They were kind and nice, as I asked them nicely for autographs and chatted a little.

A couple years ago, before the final game of the season I met K-Rod (Francisco Rodriguez) our closer at the Caliber Motors in Anaheim, CA. He sounded quiet when I met him, but he was cool nonetheless. I had him sign my 2002 World Series cap.

And just recently, before the regular season started I went to the Angels Fanfest and got up close with alot of players. Since there were thousands of people who attended during that weekend, I only ended up with Ervin Santana's autograph on my jersey. He seemed really nice and kind when I was how he was. Also saw Robb Quinlan, Mike Butcher, and John Lackey as I was walking out the stadium. Great experience if you ask me.

Going out for baseball next season?

Saw Barry Bonds on average of once every two weeks at work (EA Sports). His relative worked there too. Very cordial, a real people person for those that are around him frequently, took the time to chat, not snobbish or stuck up. Always willing to shake your hand and provide you with an autograph or piece of memorabilia (I got his game-used BP All Star Game - Chicago AL - jersey free from him).

Met Marquis Grissom at a local outlet shopping mall and Ray Durham at an autograph signing session at the SF Giants retail store. Both were genuinely nice, not with their noses in the air like some other sports figures and willing to chat it up with you. Took the time to talk about the game and past accomplishments.

I really love to recognize professional ball players for their contributions to the sport, and they really love it! Good luck with your athlete encounters as well!

I've talked with George Brett several times. I used to umpire some of his sons baseball games in Lenexa, KS. He's a great guy as long as long as your not behind the plate.
