In Japan, they play more of a defensive game and they count more on defense and pitching more than hitting. Most of the Japanese baseball players are scrappy hitters that get on base alot and do not strikeout alot rather than hitting for power and hitting alot of home runs, Ichiro is a good example of a Japanese baseball player that gets on base alot and gets alot of hits and he is not your big giant home run hitter either. What is the most exciting thing..?

fences are closer, they have cooler names like daisuke and sadaharu. their records also mean a lot more then they do here, not to mention very few if any players overseas use any of the preformance enhancing supplements they do over here.Whats important in a true fan, loyalty to your team or smarts to know when to dump them??
In Japan when you strike out 3 times in a row, the manager has the option to release you into a big pit of lava. Also if you commit more than 2 errors in a single game, they release a Godzilla monster who chases you around the infield and tries to sit on you, everyone cheers heartily at this. Finally, if a game goes for longer than 14 innings, the players sumo wrestle for dominance, only after downing two pitchers of beer and 4 bowls of noodles in a single hour, the crotch grabbing and stomach ramming mean this part of the contest gets particularly messy.for one the ball weights less
is easier to grip (more slick over here)
