It's definitely catcher. One error could have you blow it...Do you get an RBI on a fielder's choice?
3B is loaded with good players and bad hops. Less chance to react and it is just sometimes lucky that you get the ball and can make a long throw.I retract that 3B - OF is the hardest, they have less opportunity and more players can have almost perfect years. So you are at the mercy of assist numbers from bad runners or lucky plays involving a score keeper - if you reach a ball that no one else could have come close to, the score keeper could rule it an error - where no other OF would have been near it and it would have been ruled a hit. Look at Matthews catch last year, if it falls out of his glove it is an error but no other OF would have even had a shot.
And you ended your sentence in a preposition..
Derek Jetter, ANOTHER ERROR TODAY ?
Sure SS is hardest to be good at, but unless there is one guy that's in a league of his own then the one that has the best year at the plate wins (people who say hitting is not considered haven't been paying attention) It's just been the past 5-10yrs that there have been great hitting, SS with power and defense.I'd say 1st base. There are always several guys with good offensive #'s and defensively it's just the opp. of SS, unless you're a real clank, it's hard to mess up a lot.

3rd base...Is jason schmit damaged goods?
THE hardest position to win a gold glove at is pitcher. You are in such bad posture after your motion to the plate that you are extremely compromised when it comes to fielding your position. Many of the best pitchers are so notoriously bad at recovering from their motion that batters will bunt right at them & laugh as the pitcher does a double-back flip trying to get the ball then throw it into the stands. I think pitchers should hit, but please make them stop feilding!Shortstop and Catcher.
I need help hitting with power wat is the best way to hit with power?
i think 3rd or pitcher, shortstop because of the massive area that needs to be covered so the other team does not take advantage.
Did Johnny Damon leave the Boston Red Sox becuase he`s a greedy traitor?
The most difficult position to win a Gold Glove at is, quite simply, 3B.Logic would tell you that shortstops have it the hardest, but that's only because shortstops tend to be more among the more well-known players (ie Jeter; Tejada; formerly A-Rod; and formerly Nomar). With added notoriety comes added instant replays...Considering that most Major Leaguers are right-handed, and typically, most players pull the ball, third basemen have a split second to react before the ball wizzes past them and into the outfield. Compare the roughly 100 feet in of reaction space that a 3B has to the 120 feet of reaction time that a SS has. With nearly 20 more feet to watch the ball and time for the ball to slow down, shortstops have it much easier. The only difference is that shortstops can afford to be flashier due to being given more time to improvise and pull off crowd-pleasing plays...
P. Burrell, D. Roberts, Coco Crisp or Mike Cameron as OF?
third baseAre there more Red Soxs fans or Yankees fans on tonight?
catcherWho is going to go farther, Yankees or Red Sox, why?
SS, because the best defensive shortstop doesn't win the award.Take last year for instance. Jeter won the Gold Glove, over Alex Gonzalez!
Gonzo is by far the best defender but it all comes down to the name value.
I want to be a pitcher but my arm isn't strong enough. Do you know any good exercises?
Shortstop is the best defensive positions typically. Left Field is usually weakest. So it depends ever positions is equally hard because in left you have a lot of weak fielders but comparably weak. At short you have a lot of great defenders but it is not any harder or easier because the competition is comparable. What was the highest attendance for a baseball game?
