I think Mr Aaron said it best himself. To paraphrase him he said he just doesn't care about that kind of stuff anymore. No matter who may be breaking his records he will not go out of his way to make any kind of appearance. Keep in mind I am NOT a Barry Bonds fan. But as far as I know Bonds has never tested positive for anything illegal. Sosa got caught with a corked bat, Palmero tested positive for something illegal, and Giambi admitted he used stuff. Even Big Mac got out before he was tested. Hank Aaron has a right to use the event to comment on Bonds and baseball and our culture however he wishes.Bonds is not a disgrace to baseball. Bonds is the epitome of the sport itself. Baseball is the disgrace. Baseball doesn't care about steroids. They care about money. Bonds broke no rules because the rules were designed to do whatever it took to make the most profit for whomever involved. Selig and the owners and the MLB players assoc. are all part of this disgrace.

I think that when you're a baseball legend, such as Aaron, you can do whatever you d*mned well please. While it's semi-traditional for players to acknowledge the guys who break their records, when the record is broken dishonestly one can be forgiven for refusing to dignify the occasion with one's presence.Can the royals beat the twins today??

Hank Aaron is an adult with an adult mind, not like the name calling immature people here that don't even have a shred of proof to condemn Barry Bonds.These knuckleheads don't even know or cannot even define what a "disgrace to baseball" is..
