In the Majors, do they measure the fastball's velocity when the ball crosses the plate?
Club box seats are generally second level seats that come with amenities. These amenities can include padded seats, larger seats, more ushers, and/or a waiter/waitress for food.Box seats at a game, those are good seats./
It depends stadium by stadium.
The first version of a box seat came from the early version of a luxury box in the Chicago baseball park in the mid 1880's. They had a wood wall, table chairs, a small table, and a phone, and were located near the field.
For the classic ballparks bulit between 1909 and 1923, most of them had box seats in the preferred areas(lower deck between the bases on the lower half of the deck, and 1st few rows of the upper deck) They usually had two rows with 4 to 6 seats in each row with some metal bar or meatal fencing around that area. So they would call that area a box. Of course those seats would cost more.
So that is a tradtional box seat. The newer parks do not necessarily do that any longer.
Now it is possible that you may have a ticket for a luxury box.
