Large size baseball jersey?

Question:I'm a guy, 6', 165 lbs, 33'' waist. I want to buy an authentic MLB jersey but i'm not sure what size i would be. I take a size L replica jersey, but i don't know if L would be a 40 or 44 size in chest. I used to be 48 but that's when I weighed 195 lbs. So should I take 40 or 44 ? they don't sell 42
