on MLB baseballs, Sharpie pens will bleed, fade and smudge. Sharpies are best for photographs. On MLB baseballs, I use ball point pens because they last a long time. Willie Mays signed a baseball for me in the 70's with the Giants using regular ball point pen and it still looks as good as the day it was signed.Last year, I saw someone have Barry Bonds sign an autograph on a baseball at a show. It was done in Sharpie. 30 minutes later, it was bleeding throughout the sweetspot.. No refunds.. Ball point pens are best on leather.
