Babe Ruth, no doubt. Not only could he pitch, but the guy was insanely beastly. 715 homeruns! Even though Mays played a better centerfield, he didn't hit nearly as many homeruns. Babe Ruth was definitely the most dominant hitter the game has ever seen (except possibly Barry Bonds). Back in his time, what he did was unheard of. You never saw guys parking the ball as much as he did, especially w/ the distance of the parks he had to hit homers in. Without a doubt its Ruth. he chagned the way the game was played. I dont know the exact amount of times he did it, but there was a few years when he hit more homers by hmiself then the entire freakin American League!! Mays had an extra dimension to his game that Ruth didn't have, and that was his speed. The other thing is that Mays lost 2 and a half seasons to military service.
