How do I find out how much my signed baseball is worth?

Question:I have a baseball that was signed by almost all of the 1997 Seattle Mariners. The only one missing is Alex Rodriguez. So there are some big names like Ken Griffey Jr, Edgar Martinez, Joey Cora, Randy Johnson, etc. How can I find out how much it is worth? I am thinking about selling it??

How do I find out if a baseball game is rained out?

You should go to a baseball card memoribilia show and speak to a few reputable dealers.

The value will depend a lot on the following:
1) clarity and quility of each signature
2) where they have signed the ball
3) if the ball is an American League Major League baseball
4) and even how they sign the ball

The more valuable the baseball, the more likely the signatures will need to be authinticated - no one wants to pay a lot of money for signatures, only to learn later they are fakes.
(Note: some of the larger shows have legitimate companies which will authinticate/estimate the value of the baseball).

Once you have found out from a dealer what the baseball is worth (make sure to get the value they would sell it to you for, not what they would buy it from you for), add 15-20% to the value and see what happens, you can always negotiate down to the actual value of the baseball.

Good luck!

Added note: The value of this baseball will be far more in Seatlle and the surrounding area, than say in Florida.

Wrigley Field - Best seats Opinion?

Don't be too quick to sell it. You might want to go to a baseball card convention in your local area. There you will find a number of vendors who will be willing to buy it. Check around first and see what the offers are. The bottom line is that the ball is only worth what a collector is willing to pay. This is one good way of finding out it's value.

The Boston Red Sox uniform?

You sell it.

Seriously. The only way to determine an item's worth is to determine how much someone else would pay for it. There is no set value for semi-complete team autographed baseballs.
