Most overrated player in baseball history?
No. Isn't mono pretty contagious? Why would you want to potentially infect your whole team? Plus, doesn't it make you really tired? You should just rest until you're feeling better. Why doesn't Mark Mcgwire belong in the hall of fame?
You can't possibly have the energy to do so. Which means that you'll only delay your recovery by trying.Follow your doctor's orders. And if you're talking about an organized game of any type (particularly including HS and college), get a note from your doctor about your mono. The choice will be taken out of your hands, for your own good. If you're talking college, you'll be medically red shirted.
Take this illness seriously, because it is serious.
How did the yankees score their first 3 runs?
Probably not.Fatigue from mono is probably bad for baseball, and STRENUOUS physical activity (such as baseball) is not good for the spleen or liver, as there is a small chance they may rupture.
Fatigue (and other symptoms) goes away after a few weeks, and the chances of it spreading go down over the course of a few months.
Anything involving the exchanging of saliva will spread it (be it drinks, eating utensils, coughing), but if you're smart then people who you come into contact with every day shouldn't be afraid of getting it.
I mainly say the above 2 paragraphs because it seems as if people are making it out to be some serious, tragic and deadly illness. It might get annoying and distracting for a little while, but with discretion, fluids and rest, it shouldn't be too bad.
