Least amount of pitches throwin in one inning?

Question:whats the least amount of pitches throwin in one inning (im assuming peole have done 3) and how many times has it happen?

Answers:

Whos gunna be a factor in the homerun catagory this season?

The answer is, of course, 0.

Pitcher goes to the mound, thus he's on the scorecard, bases loaded, tie game, bottom of the 9th. Pitcher balks in his windup, balk is called before pitch is thrown, winning run crosses the plate.

Plenty of scenarious for 1 pitch. Maz had a 1-0 count when he jacked the homer off terry to win the 60 series, so that could have just as realistically been a 0-0 pitch and thus, 1 pitch thrown.

Also, a pitcher could throw 1 pitch in an inning and still get all 3 outs if he enters with two men on and the first pitch he throws is hit into a triple play.

** As a neat little aside, I was double checking the count on Maz's homer and came across this little tidbit. There have been 23 walk-off grand slams for 1 run victories, 14 of those were with two outs, and ONE of them was bottom of the ninth w/ a full count (and of course two outs, bases loaded). Chris Hoiles did it for the Orioles on 5-17-96

*** In response to cardsfan below, I guess it depends on how you read the question. If you read it as literally as you did, then your scenario for 0 isn't correct either. The OP didn't ask how many pitches could be thrown to be credited for 1 inning, simply the least amount of pitches thrown in one inning. In your 0 scenario, you are forgetting to count the pitches thrown to get those runners on base. I myself read it a little more liberally, trying to think of the minimum pitches 1 pitcher could throw in an inning. However, I'll revise my answer to figure out how an inning could progress start to finish and have the fewest amount of pitches thrown, and I'll answer 1 this time. There are plenty of scenarios where this could happen. The one pitch of course could be a first pitch walk-off homer, which is the easiest scenario to think of. But I can think of some sillier scenarios. Now, all of what I'm about to say works if the batter gets a first pitch single, double, or triple, but I'd like to think even odder than that. Tie game, bottom of the 9th. Pitcher throws first pitch and hits the batter. Pinch runner goes in. Pick-off move to first gets away and pinch runner gets to second. A little overzealous, the runner breaks too early for third and the pitcher can make his throw for third, putting runner in a pickle. There's a quick back and forth between the pitcher, third baseman, shortstop, and second baseman, but in the end the runner makes up for his gaff and slides into thrid under the tag. The pitcher is a little rattled, balks, and all runners advance 1 base, thus the home team wins. 1 pitch inning. Of course, a leadoff triple and a balk would work just as well. Has either happened? I don't honestly know. But I showed above how for sure you can have 1 inning decided on 2 pitches that has actually occurred, with the bottom of the 9th in game 7 of the 60 series when Maz hit a 1-0 pitch out.
Now, if you want to say how can one inning score 3 outs on the minimum number of pitches, then it has to be 3. And of course if you want to consider it as one full inning and consider top and bottom half, then of course the answer is 6. I wouldn't be surprised that that had ever happened. I'll do some digging and see if I can't find it.

its probably happened hundreds of times. just think...30 teams, 162 games each. thats atleast 4,558 innings per year per team. thats a total of 136,740 innings per year not counting playoffs or extra innings. so over the past 100 years of baseball, you do the math!

In which year was tried to use a ball of orange color, and that was the one that proposed it?

is 0

Can anyone help?

The answer is 0 but no one has described a scenario in which this "could" happen. I highly doubt that this has ever occurred on any level of baseball.

To pitch one inning a pitcher must record 3 outs, none of the throw one pitch and this that or the other thing happens(other than the triple play results in 3 outs being recorded)

If a pitcher entered the game with no outs and the bases loaded he could pick off all three runners, thus recording three outs without throwing a pitch. He would be credited with one inning pitched, no pitches thrown.
