Isn't it too premature for people to get excited about a-rod of the yankees?
Question:he is doing good now, but later, when the money is on line in playoffs, he will choke again with a .125 average and commit errors costing the yankees dearly! and i! am a lifelong yankee fan! i have no faith that this over-rated dude will get the yankees into the world series! but that is just opinion! he never plays well in playoffs! this year is no exception!

I have to agree with you, A-Rod has to prove that he can get the job done in the playoffs not in the first month of the season. well let's look at his AVERAGE stats over his 13 years in pro ball. he turned 30 in july so he's still got some years left at his current level. His batting avg. is .306,he averages 126 Runs scored a year, & 126 RBIs off of an Average of 192 hits a year & an AVG. of 43 Homeruns. currently with 470 HRs and 6 in his last 7 games. Nothing premature about those numbers, people love to hate players who get the big bucks and let me preface this by saying I am NOT an A-Rod fan, but I do like numbers.

If there's a team with more fickle fans than the Red Sox, it's Yankee fans. They amaze me. All Spring it was A-Rod stinks...can't hit in the clutch...let him walk after the season...we'll be better off without him.Now he has a great start, and it's hugs and kisses all over again.
Let's say he wins the MVP, bats .331 with 55 bombs, 144 RBI, 41 doubles, 4 triples, 25 stolen bases, and commits only nine errors all year.
Then he has his typical post-season, batting .100 going 4/40 with no rbi? Will you be behind him, or want him to go? That's what you need to ask yourself.
Of course, this is most likely a moot point as the Devil Rays have a better shot of making the playoffs than the pitching-poor Yankees.

A-Rod is a slow starter and this year he is on fire. He's only going to get better as the year goes on. As far as the playoffs go he is not the only one on the team everyone has to do their part. I think this year he will come through he doesn't have the pressure if he does bad he can just opt. out of his contract and get big money somewhere else. I think that will keep him calm all year and even in the playoffs.How many baseball games do you plan on attending this year?
Arods not overrated by any stretch of the imagination. His good regular season helps the Yankees even be in playoff contention even more so last season with the depleted roster. If Arod can't do it in the postseason why don't others step up. You can't depend on Arod for everything this is a team not an individual sport.Rate my fantasy baseball team??

well i dont think that your a true Yankee fan b/c if you were you would have faith in A-Rod...he is doing amazing this year with 6 HRs and 15 RBIs..he will continue to have great success all season long..i believe that A-Rod could do it.i have full faith in him.and you should too.
