The Diamondbacks are definately for real. Expect them to finish with a winning record somewhere near .500. Their problem to this point has always been pitching. With the acquisitions of livan hernandez, doug davis and randy johnson they have created a sturdy pitching staff. Though not excellent, they are proven inning eaters and will give the Diamondbacks a reasonable chance to win each night which not overworking the bullpen. If the pitchers can keep to this strategy the team will be sucessful. This is a very deep, young, offensively talent and with some good pitching have a very real chance to be contenders this year.

They look good, their starting pitching is really good. Their hitting I am not so sure of but we will see.Who is the best pitcher in the major leagues?
They did the right thing in turning over their roster, they're a little too young to contend this year, power hitters aren't there and alot is being asked of their rookies. Pitching should fare better with experienced arms to off-set the promising young ones. You can see where they would like to be the Angels of the NL, they'll definitely compete but will be blown out by the better established teams. So Choking won't be their problem, power and inexperience will.Should the MLB start using instant replay?
