Is there any way to obtain any recordings of This Week In Baseball: hosted by Mel Allen?
This sounds like some test questions from a gym class final.Do you want fastpitch or slowpitch rules, because there are some that are different for both?
Since the pitcher is a defensive position, everything a pitcher does normally are his responsibilities pitching the ball, fielding the ball, covering first base on a ground ball to the right side of the infield, backing up the catcher on plays at home.
Throwing techniques? Underhand and overhand. Unless you want to talk about sidearm and all of the different arm positions pitchers use to throw different types of pitches.
Batting techniques? Swinging and bunting. Unless you want to include the drag bunt and the slap bunt. Or do you want to talk about place hitting and power hitting?
Fungo hitting is an oversized, soft bat that allows you to practice without being able to hit the ball extremely hard and taking a chance on hurting someone or something in a tight or enclosed area.
Would you prefer being Barry Bonds or a below average player?

Why is there no softball section?
I, myself, have no idea about softball, but I'm sure if you asked people of that area, you would get the answer you're looking for.
P.S.- Fungo hitting is also used in baseball, however it might be different. In baseball, Fungo hitting is called such to refer to the warm-up pop-ups and grounders in Infield- Outfield before a game, must likely to be done with a "Fungo" bat.
Also, I know your trying to prove a point, but just because people are talking about baseball more than softball, does make it right for you to get all sour over it.
Have a good one! =)
ONE RULE IS WHEN YOU HAVE 2 STRIKES AND YOU BUNT FOUL YOUR OUT
