They'll overcome it sooner or later and the slow start to the offense is to blame, also the pitching, hell, they are all to blame and they need to pick it upbut i think they will bounce back..they ARE the cardinals you know.

No cardinals are done. Edmonds needs to retire, How did rolen get into the league little own on all star team? Pujols and eckstein stuggling. Duncan and Molina only two performing. I'm not sure LaRussa could do anything to stem the injuries and personnell losses this team has incurred. If anyone is at fault, maybe its the GM who let too much pitching leave after last season. The problem is a lack of talent on this team. Edmonds and Rolen are both well past their prime and everyone else is either limited offensively (Eckstein, Kennedy, Molina) or slumping (Pujols). The pitching is downright bad, especailly with Carpenter being hurt. Even with him this team would sturggle to find 5 guys to pitch deep into games on a rgular basis. Looper has pitched fairly well, but is better suited to middle relief, Wainwright and Reyes both have potential but lack experience. Outside of those two the rotation is awful.come on Kip Wells as your number two? It was nice to see them finally win a World Series again last year, but that was a flawed team that caught fire at the right time. This team isn't just flawed, but downright bad. Management needs to cut their losses and look to build around Albert, Carpenter, and Duncan before its too late. They are done this year and unless management makes some good moves they are done for the forseeable future. Just go look at what they are doing now. The players could be the problem, maybe that group just doesn't click together. Right now I think it is the pitching if they have just let up 14 runs in 5 innings. If it is the same coaches as last year I would assume it is just the players. you cant blame the coaches if the players arent performing. you know therye all good if they won the world series. pujols isnt doing as good as he should be doing, scott rolen is doing terrible. their pitchers are doing horrible too. players are the ones to blameCC Sabathia or Dontrelle Willis to start the most important game of the year?
