I'd hope for a breaking ball away, in the dirt, to the backstop. A passed ball or wild pitch to get me out of the double play situation. I mean, it is my first at bat, and I would be too nervous to get a hit, unless I was hit by a pitch.I would keep on taking pitchs until he threws a struck.. or on the first pitch hope that the coach goes for a Bulk Steal and the picture would bulk causing a run to come on and it would be a man on second. But mostly likely they would threw the fastball or a some kinda change up

pitch selection will change due to these factors..that said..i am left handed and most pitchers are right..so...I would say that i will get played by the infield and outfield to pull to the right side.so I would want something I could go the other way with so that I could hit it down the left field line and score both runners...maybe more of a slider or change up...that'd give me the best chance at hitting a slightly slower pitch the other way and have the LF run after it..
What are some good ways to break in a softball mit besides using it a lot?
I would want a high fast ball for a called ball.reason: I am a great fastball hitter.
This would put the pitcher behind in the count, and my teammate on first base could annoy him by taking a lead, pretending to steal.
This would give me a good chance to get a 2--0 count. At that point, I could look to hit a curve ball on the outside corner into right field (I'm right handed) or a fast ball up to the same field. If he tried a changeup or a curve ball inside I'd be able to pull it to the hole, scoring a run, and if it were a fast ball I'd lay off it or if it was in the right place be able to pull it for distance.
