How to get MPH on my fastball.?
Question:I turn 15 in June and its my first year of playing baseball in america. The past 9 were in Germany. I recently was clocked at 76. and there are kids in school that are already throwing 80 at 15. What can i do to add terminal velocity. Also what can a righty do to put a tail on the ball?
Answers:
You keep building up ur arm strength by playing long toss and doing push ups.
If you lift too much and u get BULKY muscles which the ladies love haha then it will be harder to pitch
soo Push ups and Long Toss
Do you think these stats can get me somewhere?
Pitching isn't about speed. It's about being able to fool the hitters, one way or another.Any hitter can get around on a fastball that does nothing, no matter how fast it may be. But a fastball that moves can fool any batter.
Ignore the gun and concentrate on improving your command. As your arm strength increases, your pitcher speed may do so as well. But that's still throwing, not pitching. Throwers don't last that long, no matter where they are.
How can I watch the yankees red sox game online urgent before 7:00?
To get more speed snap your wrist when you throw.Eat steak, lift, and run more. To put a tail on the ball press harder with your middle finger.
Does anyone have an mlb.tv account?
I don't care how fast you can throw. The question is do you have the control to put that 76 mph pitch exactly where you want it?Don't forget that pitching comes from your legs and good mechanics as well.
Why Are Yankee Fans so Ignorant?
1) don't put tail on the ball. its a sign of bad mechanics (and a reduction of speed) first, get a good change-up, it will make your fastball seem a lot faster. then do the normal stuff, long toss, weight training (especially the your core).it all comes with work...
The hit-a-way machines is a nothing more then trash? do you agree.?
It's ALL mechanics. There are big, bulky guys in the majors that can't throw very hard and wiry guys that throw 102. Most important in pitching, however, is to keep a hitter guessing. Movement on your pitches and accuracy will help you more than velocity, though. As well as a deceptive delivery.Who has the most stolen bases in the history of MLB?
Speed is overrated. Greg Maddux won 300 without ever consistently breaking 85 on the gun. If you want to develop into a great pitcher the key is to get a fastball that darts sinks or cuts add a change-up and develop either a slider or curve. Anything after that is money. The key to getting people out is not blowing them away but keeping them continually Guessing.More Questions & Answers...
