Would anyone else like to see MLB break the AL/NL Barrier?
If they both were in their prime, I'd rather pitch to Aaron. Bonds wasn't a 3 time MVP in his prime for no reason. No disrespect to Aaron, but Bonds has been very selective about the pitches he swings at, and doesn't strike out much. The shift wouldn't have worked against him, because he hit to all fields, and he hit more HR per at bat vs. leftys than rightys. Either way, it's a lose-lose situation. Why doesnt international players (like latin american countries, japan, etc) go through the draft?
i mean no offense to all the hank aaron fans, but im gonna have to go with barry bonds. I mean he is one of the greatest hitters in the mlb.Official roster for 1982 Milwaukee Brewers Players?
Hank. Pitching has been refined so much since then, that I'd gladly put one of todays 8 game winners up against the All-Stars of yesteryear. I'm not saying Hank couldn't get a hit... I'm just saying that if we're not going to bring up steroids, I think Bonds is the better player.Which mlb team has the best mascot?
Aaron. It's about class and about pressure situations. Bonds' history is that the more pressure there is, the more he tries to squeeze the sawdust out of his bat.Do you like the monopoly fox has created in baseball coverage?
Hank Aaron. I think bonds has proven time and time again that he can burn you late in the game. I'd rather face Aaron...yes he is a power threat but not as clutch as bonds tho...ppl take the bat out of bonds hands and thats why he doesn't get an opportunity to make an impact in the game. Can anyone send me a link to a video of a pitcher throwing a curve?
barry bonds because he isnt as dangerous now than in his primeDid Babe Ruth really call his homerun in the 1932 World Seires?
If you mean Barry in his prime and Hank in his prime..I'd rather pitch to Hank..if you mean Barry now, Barry. Is it time to even the playing field between hitting and pitching in MLB?
I would pitch to Barry Bonds for a couple of reasons.(1) He is a left-handed batter. My lefty would be more effective against Bonds than a right-handed pitcher ever was against Hammerin' Hank.
(2) As a right-handed hitter, Aaron hit more homers off righty's than Bonds hit homers off lefties.
(3) Bonds has already struck-out more times then Henry.
(4) Aaron was more of a spray hitter and can hit to all fields so the defense would have to play more straight away where most defense plays Bonds to pull.
(5) The percentages are with me pitching to Bonds with a left-handed pitcher and the shift on.
Any tips on Autographs at a Cubs Game?
Aaron. If I was forced to pitch to bonds I would intentionally unintentionally walk him.
Will Johan Santana leave Minnesota as a free agent?
it depends... is the pitcher lefty or righty? Hank batted righty and barry lefty so if it is a right handed pitcher i might have to bat Barry Bonds... if it is a left handed pitcher i would take Hank...You also have to take into consideration what kind of pitcher is pitching.. Hank was a mostly fastball hitter while Barry could adjust and hit anything... Bonds hits for a better average too and in this scenerio any kind of base hit will at least tie the game with the bases loaded... So home runs shouldn't be the more important factor... And if you go with who is the better home run hitter then the answer is Barry Bonds who has the best At bats per home run ratio in baseball history and hit 73 homeruns in a season while Hank had 47 in his best season.
So Barry Bonds is without a doubt the better choice in this situation but then again you have to look at the situation... In all honesty if that were the situation I would give them the walk, put the game winning run in scoring position and deal with whoever is on deck, haha...
Why was Randy Johnson ineffective in New York?
easy, bonds. he might hit homeruns but aaron could hit for avg tooWhat are typical MLB bat speeds?
Well, if they're 2 runs down, I'd walk either one and pitch to the next guy. Then they'd be 1 run down and I'd be facing a less scary batter. :)More Questions & Answers...
