ESPN biased against nonpopular teams?

Question:one example:

many highlights of barry bonds and teamates batting inning after inning, while the team they were playing (pads) had one highlight. in the end the giants lost big. WTH, i dont want to see the highlights of the team that lost, i want to see how the winning team won. the same thing can be said about the yanks. "A-Rod, Giambi, etc. homers but the yanks end up losing"

Answers:

Whos the worst baseball team this season?

Too true. I am a D-backs for baseball and Steelers for Football. I live in the Seattle area and have not seen 1 stinking highlight for the D-backs (the team with the best record). I realize they are not the team of 2001 with the big unit.wait a minute...they have him again. But I wouldn't know because I DON'T GET TO SEE ANY HIGHLIGHTS.

Who holds the Major League record for most stolen bases in a season?

What is going to get more viewers: the nonpopular teams that have less following or the popular and major teams that have TONS of following.

It's more of a way to make money instead of trying to discriminate against fans of a certain team.

How many world series have the chicago cubs won?

They're not discriminating...it's business, the more popular teams carry more viewers, and more advertising dollars

If only 2 games are played in a 3 game series, if one team has won both is that considered a sweep?

I agree. ESPN is a sports network plain and simple. They should show all highlights, not just Bonds and the Yankees, both of which are totally overrated.

Is it "Happy Days" watching the Yankees struggle??

It's a bias for high ratings which translate to high revenue. ESPN exists to make money.

How Do Major League Baseball Teams Determine their home dugout?

if u wanna see yer team on ESPN, you'd better like either the Yanks or the BoSox.

Do the marlins, tampa bay, pittsburg, kansa city, and milwauke deserve teams?

it is pretty simple really. Teams like the Yankees, Bo Sox, and "better teams" have more fans. Espn just want the ratings, the better teams have more fans, no one cares what the padres did. Millions care about the yankees. Bonds is just the stupid home run thing, that shouldn't count neway.

Rain Shortened baseball?

Sure, but they're keeping with the majority which is in the best interest of their purpose for being there. To make money. I get a little annoyed when I want to see some highlights of a Devil Rays game, knowing someone did something worth mentioning, but instead we see more of Barry Bonds or the Yankees. But for the most part you can stay well informed.

Why does a pitcher need to throw any pitches if he is issuing an intentional walk?

I agree. Especially Baseball Tonight. It used to be fairly informative and focus on the key highlights. Now they're more likely to tell you that Jason Giambi went 0-5 than to tell you that Ty Wiggington went 5-5.

Can anyone tell me what a 1981 uncut sheet of tops baseball cards are worth?

ESPN hasn't shown a Toronto game on Sunday night since September 1990. That should answer your question.
