Is dice-k really all that good??
Question:just watched the seattle/boston game and was not that impressed with the japaneese phenom dice-k. sure he has a lot of movement on his breaking stuff and does have a 92 mph fast ball but he just didn't look that good to me. he does have ichiro's number tho. what do you think about him?? and how about felix hernandez?? 3rd complete game already this year and had a no-no going into the eighth. i think thats your american league cy young guy there. what do you think??

he is good, just give himk time, and although he lost tonight, its not like he got whipped. so he gave up three in 7 innings.. thats not too shabby, if his team would have put a few points on the board, maybe he wouldnt have won. but when you get shut out, its hard to point the finger at the pitcher for losing the game.imagine that, a yank fan saying something like the comment below.. haha

hernandez is a young, talented pitcher but i dont think he's winning cy young. there are many others in the AL like santana or halladay who are major canadates. i like dice k, but im not sure how long it will take for hitters to figure him out.Does Roger Clemens' latest move disgust you too...?
i think felix is a phenom himself, and should get as much hype as dice-k. he just threw a one hitter shut out. the dude is really good. im not skeptical about dice cuz its still what his second game? and he still has time to improve. he did look good tho. as of right now, theres of course much better pitchers out there such as felix, but dice just barely started pitching in the mlb. so we'll have to see.Would you agree that Derek Jeter is the best shortstop in baseball.?
I think he's pretty good. You can't judge him on only his first couple games in the states. I think more important than his baseball skills is what he's going to do for the city of Boston. So many changes are being made to accomodate the Asian tourists he is expected to bring in. From menu changes to gift shop items, he's bringing a lot of culture to the entire city, which I think is great.Anyone know where I can find a matt murton jersey for cheap?

Dice-K will most likely be like Hideo Nomo. He will be good his first couple years, and then fade away. He pitched good enough not to lose tonight, but the offense deserted him. he was okay felix was GREAT almost 8 inings of no hit ball and hes only 21 that man has a long way to goHe's very good. Not the perfect "gyro-ball" unbeatable pitcher he's been hyped up to be though. He'll just be another good, durable pitcher. I don't think tonight was bad at all for him. To pitch for the Red Sox and only give up 3 runs should win the game with their offense. Give it a little time. Also, bear in mind that when a team gets beaten as badly as the Mariners did the night before, they often come out the next day with a vengeance. I'm surprised they didn't hit better.

I think Dice-K is a very good pitcher. But if I had a choice between the two that went head-to-head tonight, King Felix in my opinion has a much higher ceiling. Before all is said and done, Felix will have a couple Cy Young Awards under his belt. I would never write this guy off or call him "overrated" with those first 2 game stats. He's clearly got control of the ball with only 2 walks, and his strikeouts are still coming. He's just beginning to warm up, folks.

Well one of the new stats that baseball came up with is quality starts.that is when a pitcher goes at least 7 innings and gives up three earned runs or less.Do not underestimate the cold and even though Daisuke's performance was not as good as the one in KC,he stll kept his team in the game.Hernandez was just the better pitcher that day.In the meantime,hold off on the awards till we finish the season.Nobody has clinched a playoff berth in April so I don't think a player should win any awards then either.More Questions & Answers...
