It's possible......but at his age and the amount of years he has left I think it safe to say he might actually break Hank Aaron's record of 755. Let's do the math, shall we? A-Rod only hits his homeruns in innings 1-6, as late game pressure situations render him pretty much useless.That means that for every 9 innings he plays, he's losing 3 per game. 162 x 9 innings = 1458 innings. 162 x 6 = 972 innings.
Playing in 972 innings equals out to only playing in 108 games, so A-Rod hitting 74 homers in 108 games is, for all intense and purposes, unrealistic.
Don't even get me started by taking out all games in September and October, as the numbers will only get worse.
