NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! dont do it! get some glove-oleum from a sports store and oil it. then put a softball in the mitt and tie a shoestring tightly around it. however the best way to break it in is to play lots and lots of catch with it. and DO NOT, DO NOT put your glove in the oven!!! it will soften it right away, but after a year or so the glove will become rock hard and you will have to replace it.What is the worst/best moment in Cleveland Sports history?

Hell no! Go to the store and buy some saddle soap. Rub the saddle soap in your mitt, it will help break in the mit. Then throw a ball in your glove while you watch T.V. Then bend the glove to form it the way you want it. You can buy saddle soap at CVS or sav-on's, what ever the hell they call it now!P.S.

I have found that the best way to break in a glove is to put it in the dryer for a while and then get it out and pound it with a ball after a while use glove conditioner and then tie it up with the ball inside overnight. This will create a good deep pocket for the ball to slide into. Definetly no water and no vehicles.Most wins in mlb before 10 losses?

What I did with my son and daughter's gloves is rubbed the glove oil (use a old washrag) on it then put a baseball inside the web of the glove and then wrapped the big thick rubber bands around it tightly. Then we left it like that for a couple weeks. During non-use we oil them up again and do the ball and yarn or rubber bands again (for like winter) Gloves look great and are soft and easy for them to catch with.Here is how you should do it. Take a ball and put it in the mitt. Make sure it is exactly how you want to catch it. Then tire a piece of rope around it and let it sit for a couple of days. Then after a couple of days, while you are watching TV throw a ball in it over and over. Throw it hard. After a few days of this, rope and catch game, you will have the start of an awesome pocket. Make sure after a game to always leave a ball in the mitt. It will always hold the pocket. Good luck ! Don't ever let it get wet, it drys the leather out. You can also use glove oil on it. Rawlings makes some good stuff.
