You never see blockbuster trades anymore. What could be better than this? It benefits all the teams involved, re-invigorates some struggling teams, and excites the fan base. Lets see if MLB has the guts to do it...

Won't happen, there are too many teams, especially in the NL that will be in the Wild Card race into late August or early September for a trade of this magnitude to take place.Besides, the trade dosen't help the Marlins at all, and Willis is his only marketable ballplayer down there.

You tell me how this trade benefits the Marlins at all. The 3 players that they would be trading away make less than 1/2 of A-Rods salary per season combined. And don't tell me that Lou Piniella is going to get the young players motivated. Being a Cubs fan I am sure that it looks great to you but this is a stupid trade.Is baseball player another way of saying out of shape athelete?
That is a good trade but 1 problem i dont see the Cubs trading away their NEW Manager.Also the Yankees wouldnt trade away a pitcher like Wang (they really like him) for another pictcher that they are more than likey going to aquire in the offseason! They Also like Cano he's good young talent!

The Yankees don't get near enough for A-Rod, cano, and wang. Can you even trade a manager? It would be amazing if it happened and it would start a whole lot of commotion.If the Yankees want Zambrano they can just wait until he is a fa and sign him...assuming he is a FA but if he isn't oh well they will be others. Also you can the Mariners traded Lou to Tampa for Randy Winn a few years back. Also why will Florida trade a top 3b who isn't in his prime and a great young pitcher for a 3b in his 30's and a pitcher not as good as D-train?

Yes, I agree that this would be very interesting, but the Marlins wouldnt be willing to trade their franchise pitcher Dontrelle Willis away for virtually any offer and if A-Rod keeps going into this current downward spiral that he's in then they probably wouldn't trade away Miguel Cabrera either. He's much younger than A-Rod and already has enough talent and ability to be said in the same breath as some of the most dominant third basemen around the league today. With the way Carlos Zambrano has been pitching so far this season, I doubt the Yankees would be willing to make the deal of trading away Chien-Ming Wong for a struggling "ace" like Zambrano.What hall of famer has grounded into the most double plays in MLB history?
