Is a curveball that starts up high out of the zone and ends high in the strikezone a good one?
Question:I tried it in EA sports 2005 MLB and I got a perfect game. Should I try this the next time I play baseball?

That is a hanging curveball and normally gets rocked unless it has a devastating break it wont do very well.That's how I like pitching them. Start in the top right corner. It will look ball but go strike and they fall for it just about everytime.

I agree with Harold...usually ends up in the seats. Now it can also be effective. If you have a good enough break, you could easily fool a hitter into thinking it's a high off-speed pitch and then have it drop just enough into the zone to get the call.For all the baseball fans out there. do you know?

the video game doesnt give u a good simulation of real baseball. if thats all you threw good hitters pick up on that, and control is not as easy as in the video game. high fastballs generally aren't wise depending on the age, and level of baseball your playing.Whats your opinion on fans getting brutal at games?

well yes its a good pitch but dont throw it to a 2 3 4 or 5 hitter most of them have the discipline to wait on the ball and put a hurt to it that is the easiet ball to hit miles. Especially if u know someone that is a bad ball hitter do not throw it to them. watch the royals pitcher Gil Meche he has a extremely nasty curveball and one of the lowest eras in the majors.How can we stop Barry Bonds from breaking the All time Home Run record?
It may have worked in a video game but in real life it wont be that effective. I used to put those over the fence. If you have a 6-10 inch break then yea its possible. I doubt it would be a strike out though. Umpires would have a hard time calling it a strike too unless the batter swings. Your best bet for a curve is either start middle of the plate and have it break to the outside, or throw it right at the guy and let it fall over the inside corner. Ive thrown fastballs down the middle on a video game and pitched a no hitter. Games arent really reliable sources for real life situations.Who Will Win the NL East, Central, and West?
