For starters it's a matter of routine and they may be warming up in the bullpen or in the "bullpen" that is in the indoor facilities of the stadium. Some pitchers may actually take BP or keep loose in the pen.For Zambrano, your best bet is to try and catch him chilling in the dugout in a non-starting day. But MLB has made it almost impossible to hang around dugouts for autos and team buses/parking lot areas are off limits.
Try and get into the stadium right when it opens and try to have a unique item - photo, magazine feature - that will stand out from other typical auto seekers.
