Derek Jeter or A-Rod jersey?
Question:If you were a baseball fan and had no bias towards Jeter or A-Rod, which player's jersey would you get?
These players are my two favorite MLB players. I like A-Rod because he takes so much crap from Yankee fans for no reason and I respect him for that. Plus, he is a great player.
But Jeter may be one of the best team players of all time and he is a plain winner in the regular season and especially in the playoffs.
So which jersey do you think I should get?

The big reason you should go with Jeter over A-Rod, is that A-Rod has an opt-out clause in his contract this year and could leave the Yankees if he chooses, thus making your jersey dated in less than a year.Jeter, the face of the franchise, will no doubt retire as a Yankee.

Jeter...hands downA-Rod is playing great right now, but Jeter is Mr. Yankee. Jeter has stayed consistant for a long time. A-Rod has about a month of greatness...wait until his next slump...New Yorkers will be booing and asking for him to be traded. Jeter could have a bad year, and the fans would cut him a break. His number will be retired someday by the Yankees. I doubt that A-Rod's will be.

I'd get Jeter. Because A-Rod is hot right now, but its obvious he can't put up numbers like that all season long. He still is a great player. Based on how you worded your question, I think you should take A-Rod. You said that you like him for his talent and that you "respect" him. Whereas, you like Jeter because he is a "winner." I think you should show your support for someone that you respect over someone just because they are on a winning team.Then again, I have my name on my jerseys because I never get traded and that way my jersey never gets dated..just a thought.

Jeter is more recognized wearing the #2 jersey.
A-Rod used to be #3 and may in fact be #3 again because he is
going to be looking for even more money after this amazing season. If you don't want to own a jersey of a player that no longer plays for the team, then go for the Jeter jersey.
Besides he is an icon. Yankees captain. All-star. Gold-Glove.
2 looks better than 13 anyways. When bored You can always refer to it as the Deuce. 13 is just unlucky. Jeter wins the battle.
