Indians no pitching?

Question:Someone yesterday said the Indians have no pitching at all.Heres what I posted in response.Do you agree or disagree?

To bright person a few above me-how can you say the Indians have no pitching?Sure Tigers may be better but look at the rotation

Sabathia-Flat out stud,a true ace,one of the best in the game today.Lead league in CG,Shutouts in 2006(current record 6-1)

Lee-Just back form injury and a week ago pitched a 3 hitter.Along with Westbrook 1 of 4 pitchers to win at least 14 games every season since 2004.(CR 1-0)

Westbrook-On DL now but when he's on he's a groundball machine.Lead league in groundball % in 2006.(CR1-2)

Sowers-Struggeling now but was a star rookie last year. Had the best era after the all star break last year expect for a man named Clemens. Also lead the league in shutouts tied with Sabathia.(CR 0-3)

Byrd-Has been phenominal this year. Has around a 3 ERA and the Indians have scored little for him. (CR 3-1)

Carmona or Adam Miller anyone?

Who is the only player to hold the team season stolen base record for two different teams?

Completely agree with you! To say that Cleveland has NO pitching is just stupid and ignorant. CC is one of the top pitchers overall this year. He's making a strong push for the Cy Young, he's among the leaders in the AL in strikeouts and wins and few have been able to touch him this year. Not much needs to be said about Cliff Lee. He was hurt earlier, but all you have to do is watch the guy and you know he's special. Westbrook is spotty at times but overall is a good number 3. Byrd has been on FIRE this year. Sowers has struggled lately but has some good stuff. Fausto Carmona has the potential to become a major star in the MLB. His sinker is too dirty to describe. He's 5-1 right now and has a very good ERA with 2.55, which is better than Sabathia's! So, yeah. Cleveland's got an extremely capable rotation.

Did it feel good to you to hear that Hank Aaron said he wouldn't be around if Bonds breaks the homerun record?

I agree. But don't let one person get to you. It's not bad posting a question/statement about something just because of one person. I'd understand if it were "many".

Carmona just pitched a complete game shutout against the Twins to beat Santana for his 4th win in a row.

Personally My concern is not so much the starting pitching but the relief pitching. Of our 14 loses 6 have been by relief pitchers. We have to hold leads and ties if we are going to win the very tough AL Central.

What are some steps I can take to ensure that my son becomes a great baseball player?

Let's see you list that powerhouse bullpen. And your starting pitching - after Sabathia - just ok. Both Detroit and Chicago have much better starting pitching - 1 thru 5.
Sabathia - nothing bad to say about him
Lee - Has been hurt all year. Looked bad in 2 of 3 starts - should have lost but got no decisions
Westrook - Hurt all year so far. Don't really care about being a groundball pitcher when he can't take the bump every 5th day.
Sowers - Impress me with his 0-3 record or 6.56 ERA please!
See - the point is who cares about last year - it is this year. The pitching is not that great. And are you trying to tell us that last year the pitching was good? Because I remember the pitching being the reason you were out of it in May last year.
Your bullpen is not great. Your have decent staring pitching. Your offense is good. But I agree with most - you will only go as far as your pitching takes you (3rd place this year).

Who signs the most autographs in baseball?

Sure. I'll be glad to answer you. CC-he's a stud, no question. After that, its a different story. Sowers-a good less-than-half major league season shows me nothing. You're really that good? Prove it. Westbrook is a decent #3 guy. Last season he gave up 247 hits and 55 walks in 211 innings. That's too many base runners allowed for me to be terribly impressed. Byrd-look at his entire career. He's hot now, he'll cool down to what he really is-a decent #4 starter. Cliff Lees ERA the last three seasons- 5.43, 3.79, 4.40-which is he? Last season , he pitched 201 innings, gave up 224 hits, 58 walks. Again, too many base runners allowed for me to be terribly impressed. Fausto Carmona? Keep it up for a full season, then we can talk about Carmona. Adam Miller? hes done-WHAT-exactly on the major league level? So-what do we KNOW about the Indians pitching staff? They seem to have a legit ace in CC. Westbrook and Lee are just OK #3s, and Byrd is a good #4 type. The jury is out on Carmona, Sowers and Miller until they compile a REAL major league track record, which they haven't yet. If your trying to tell me that this is an elite, championship caliber pitching staff, I respectfully must disagree.
