Most overrated player in baseball history?
Jose Contreras for the White sox throws it..as does Chein Ming wang for the Yankees.Little Man..Below
Clemens throws a Splitter, the Splitter is a different pitch than the Forkball... The Forkball gets jammed back in between finger deeper than splitter and when you release a Splitter the ball backspins like a fastball, with the Forkball the ball comes out the hand like a knuckleball and actuall tumbles Forward.. the splitter starts dropping from the time it leaves hand, the forkball doesnt break till just before it gets to the plate.
Roger Clemens has one of the best splitters (fork-balls) in baseball.
Who hit a grand slam in consectutive at bats from each side of the plate?
i think Jose ContrerasDo you think I'll have a future?
I believe Daisuke Matsuzaka from the Red Sox throws a fork-ball.It's a tricky question. I know that Jose Contreras does. There's a lot of pitchers who throw pitches very similar to a forkball, but don't call it a forkball, and likewise, there's pitchers who call a pitch a splitter, when it's really a forkball. John Smoltz and Curt Schilling come to mind.

What is the fastest team to win 100 games and same thing for losses?
Unfortunately, I think your first answer has it mixed up.The difference between the 2 are this:
1- Grip- (like was said). Forkball forces your fingers out more.
2- Movement- the splitter has late movement while the forkball dives upon release. It is tougher to miss with a forkball up than with a splitter.
3- Speed- the splitter generates more velocity (4-5 mph less than a four seamer) where the forkball would be about 10-12 mph slower.
4- The keys to success with the splitter is to use it and think fastball. The forkball is a little more effective because it has the same release point as your fastball, and you are showing the hitter the same wrist each time. When he swings at the ball, it is more likely that he hits the ground rather than the ball.
5- Roger Clemens throws a FORKBALL!
P.S.- Both pitches were not meant to throw strikes with. They are meant to keep the hitter off balance and usually end up in the dirt. If you have a good fastball, then either pitch can make you very deceptive. Factor in a curveball or a change up, and you too can be like Roger Clemens.
I hope this helps.
