Minnesota Twins New Stadium?
Question:Can anyone clarify the rumor that the Twins' new stadium is going to be roof-less? (Sources would be appreciated.)

Is anyone else pumped for Red Sox V. Yanks tonite??
yesWill Roger Clemens be drug tested this year?
Yes, it is going to be. I just saw a picture of the projected stadium in a local newspaper ( I live in MN). I think that is the dumbest idea being we live in Mn. The weather is too unpredictable and I think it'll deter fans from going to games on bad weather days.Hello...Minnesota has a reputation for weird weather. It can be sunny and 70 one day and the next snowy and 20.
How do you become a MLB umpire?
Yea, that is what I heard that while watching a game on ESPN 2 vs. the Yankees last week. Twins played outside for years before the Metradome. Its a great idea, domes even stadiums with retractable roofs arent baseball. The weather, the wind, its all part of the game.On average how long are baseball games?
yes, it is going to be roofless.Go to MNTWINS.COM.
I think it's going to be a great park. Baseball belongs outside, no matter where you live. if you ask all the Twins fans that live in the area, majority rules and say they want outdoor baseball..the way it was before the Metrodome, when they played in Bloomington, in Met Stadium outside in the elements.
Anyone that wants to watch baseball in a retractable roofed stadium, or in a dome, is a pansy and can't handle a little rain, cold or snow.
EDIT- Ticket prices will not be sky high. The Twins have always had the best ticket prices in all of baseball.
What happened to Steve Barton, the Cubs fan who blew it for them in 2003?
No roof. They dont want to spend a lot of money. I bet the tickets will be more expensive. I have to pay the taxes for it too! Oh well. Was someone stepping on John Kruk's tongue?
its true ! thank goodness ! retractable roof stadiums are so ugly. baseball should be played outdoors everyday.yes and no
How do I throw an eephus pitch?
yes - we will be cover-less.don't ask me why...20 years from now when global warming has really reaked havoc on the nation and it snows in mid-July everywhere (hey, global warming caused it to snow up here in MID-APRIL!), they're going to ask us to build another one.
oh well - they'll learn. and in 20 years, I ain't shelling out another 522 mil to build a roofed stadium.
I have a terrible feeling, if the Twins get an All Star Game at the new Park, say 2011 or 2012, it'll be the first mid-season Classic ever to be rained out. only in Minnesota, and only the Twins could pull that feat off.
