The pitchers. especially in the northern climates. Throwing a 95 mph fast ball in on the hands with a cold blustery wind and a frigid wood bat. Batters are at a big disadvantage. Not to mention the ball doesn't travel as far in the cold non-humid air.For batters, generally the more at bats they have the better they do. Getting their timing down and be able to pick up the ball out of the pitchers hand.

pitchers always start out ahead of hitters in the first part of the season. You can't hit in the off season unless you go south to the mexican central american leagues and winter ball, but, pitchers condition and pitch year around. Even if you go south to play during winter you don't get that much playing time, as, the parent clubs don't want you injured.What team has the weirdest fans?
Im gonna say it favors the batters - the pitchers have to go to spring training earlier than the hitters b/c it takes more time to get into the flow of things, the hitters only need like 1-2 weeks to get ready for a long season, the pitchers need 1-2 months of light throwing and short mound before they can even step onto a mound and throw a full game. Pitchers have to take it real easy for awhile, they have to throw short mound (as i said before) and they start off with a light workload something around 25-35 pitches and work there way up until their arms are ready for 90-110 pitches which takes awhile. Now granted in todays age every MLB player (well there are exceptions like David Wells haha) works out in the offseason and continue to throw. But the hitters still have an advantage and they take less time to adapt back into the game and get into full effect.Where can I find the largest public database of sports stats?
I say pitchersI don't think it favors anybody. Mainly because during spring training the starters get worked for 4 innings max, and it doesn't give them a chance to get in a groove.
